Due to the diverse range of operations at Community Links a whole host of volunteer opportunities exist.  Volunteers can do a host of tasks or only one depending on their time, availability and interest. 

 

Volunteer opportunities that exist are:

Community Matters Newspaper:

  1. Design and Production – (writing articles, photography and suggesting Content/Layout)
  2. Promotion of publication to local residents and organisations
  3. Delivery of publication to local organisations
  4. Sub-editing of publication
  5. Monitoring and evaluation – Satisfaction surveys


ICT Project

  1. Home PC installations
  2. IT support for local organisations
  3. Community and commercial repairs
  4. Hardware and Software peer training/mentoring


Consultation

  1. Questionnaire design, production, and layout
  2. Questionnaire completion (telephone, street or door to door)
  3. Questionnaire analysis and interpretation
  4. Focus/working group co-ordination and facilitation
  5. Focus/working group scribing
  6. Focus/working group evaluation and analysis
  7. Report writing


Community events

  1. Planning and co-ordination of events
  2. Promotion of events
  3. Design of promotional documents
  4. Attendance at events
  5. Assistance at events
  6. Monitoring and evaluation of events


General Office assistance

  1. Telephone Cover
  2. General Office assistance
  3. Data Entry

 

Other opportunities will exist and if volunteers are particularly interested in certain specific fields, staff will endeavour to concentrate on these areas and create opportunities, where possible, for such fields to be integrated into the work of the company.
