Volunteers are essential to the ongoing work at Community Links.

From our Board of Directors right down to grass root tasks in our communities volunteers’ help is invaluable.  We have a dedicated team of over 30 volunteers who come from all walks of life.  They conduct various tasks within the company.

Volunteering is just one of the great ways you can get involved within your community. It is enjoyable and worthwhile. Anyone can volunteer, and Community Links offer an extensive variety of positions that can be tailored to suit your abilities and requirements.  We can offer volunteering opportunities in market research; administrative duties and ICT provision (see our volunteer opportunities page for more details).

We support, encourage and train all our volunteers to a high standard giving them transferable skills that will assist them in future endeavours. We also recognise their achievements through our Volunteer Awards. Many of our volunteers have gone on to employment and further education as a result of the training and capacity building gained through the ICT and Get Engaged projects.

This is what some of our volunteers have to say about the benefits of being a volunteer:

"Volunteering is great - I love it" - Mary

"Volunteering is a wonderful experience.  I am not working at the moment and volunteering at Community Links gives me something to look forward to.  The social aspect is probably the best for me as this is what I miss about not going out to work" – James (STOP PRESS!  James now has a job, congratulations James)

Community Links have a wide range of volunteering opportunities that can suit most people’s abilities and time requirements.  We also endeavour to make every individuals volunteering experience enjoyable and worthwhile, so if you feel that you could spare any time then give us a call on (01698) 827583 or e-mail   This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
